ATTENTION STUDENTS - ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Please not the following set of dates for the WINTER 2007 - 2008 Session:

Start of Semester -------------- Monday, May 12, 2008

Mid- Term Examination -------- Monday, June 23, 2008 to Sunday, June 29, 2008

Presentation Week---------- Monday, August 11, 2008 to Sunday, August 17, 2008

Dead Week --------------------- Monday, August 18, 2008 to Sunday, August 24, 2008

Clearance Slip -------------
Thursday, August 21, 2008 to Saturday, August 23, 2008

Final Exam ---------------------- Monday, August  25, 2008 to Sunday, August 31, 2008

Results -------------------------- Saturday, September 06, 2008

NOTE:
Also note the following instructions:

1. All assignments / projects presentations should be completed before Final Examination

2. There will be no make-up mid- term exam. Absentees in Mid- term exam will get ZERO mark.

3.
80% Attendance is must to sit in the Final Examination. No relaxation will be given under any circumstances.

4.
All leaver applications / applications regarding attendance shall be submitted by August 16, 2008. No application after this date will be entertained and once the clearance slips are printed these will not be amended.

POLICY - 'I' GRADE

In the future following regarding 'I' Grade will be followed:

1.
If the student has not been able to appear in his/her final exam due to genuine reason, will immediately apply within one week of examination date for an 'I' Grade with documentary evidence for missing the exam and will contact his/her faculty.

2.
The faculty keeping in view the requirements for grant of 'I' Grade will approve/disapprove an 'I' Grade to the student and also sign at the appropriate place.

3.
The student will then deposit the form with the reception along with 2000/- as an 'I' Grade fee.

This policy for awarding an 'I' Grade will be followed with immediate effect.

ATTENTION STUDENTS - MIDTERM MAKE-UP EXAMINATION

The students are advised to carefully note that in future there will be no MIDTERM MAKE-UP EXAMINATION or a combined paper (MIDTERM + FINAL) in lieu of midterm examination and the absentees of the midterm examination will get ZERO MARK.

ATTENTION STUDENTS - MEDICAL LEAVE

It has been decided that in future one day medical certificate of a doctor will be acceptable by the university.

Any medical leave for more than one day has to be only in case of admission in a hospital. The student has to provide an admission and discharge certificate issued by the hospital or a medical certificate issued by the university medical officer.

ATTENTION STUDENTS - ID CARDS



It has been decided that entry to the examination room will not be allowed without the production of valid University identity card.

In view off the above the students are advised in their own interest to get their ID cards prepared before the start of Midterm Examination. It is also advised to bring the ID cards on the day of examination to avoid inconvenience and refusal to take examination.

ATTENTION STUDENTS - STUDENT ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION



The students in their own interest are advised to verify their attendance record on MONTH TO MONTH BASIS for the computer available at the Communication Center during last three days of every moth and if they find that the record is not correct / their application have not been considered, they may like to resolve the problem by discussing it with Lt. Col (R) Manzoor Ahmed.

At the end of session only the attendance pertaining to last month before the final examination will be discussed for approval.

For any clarification the students may visit Examination Department / Mr Rashid Iqbal at the Communication Center.
