			DEBATE ON MACRO ECONOMIC ISSUES & CRISES As per the Macro Economics Course (GECO 202) requirement, Ms Mahwash Amer is arranging a debate in Room "H" August 16, 2008 at 09:00 am to 01:00 pm. The students of GECO 202 are participating in the Debate Contest. The students of Greenwich University are invited to join the session. The topics for the debate are: - Interest Rates and Economy - Privatization & Non-Privatization in an Economy. - W.T.O - Free trade or fair trade. 			ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS Higher Education Commission organizes an All Pakistan Inter-University Allama Iqbal Shield Debate Contest every year. These debates are extempore and are in English and Urdu. The Schedule for 2008 is given below: Level of Debate Proposed Dates First round (University Level) June 2 to August 30, 2008 Second round (Provincial Level) October 1 to 31, 2008 Final round (National Level) November 2008 The extempore debates will be of 2 - 3 minutes duration. Students who are interested in participating in this debate contest should give their names to Mr Ahmed Kamran or Ms Shazia Anwar by Saturday, July 26 2008. Collection of Invoices July 01, 2008 to July 07, 2008 (Both days inclusive ) 3. Class Commencement Monday, September 08, 2008 4. Add / Drop Period September 08, 2008 to September 13, 2008 (Both days inclusive) 5. Application for Challenge Exam September 08, 2008 to May 13, 2008 6. Withdrawal from Course October 07,2008 7. Last Date for Payment of Fee July 10, 2008 8. Charges with Late Payment of Fees Within15 Days Rs.5000/- till July 25, 2008 Within 30 Days Rs. 10000/- till August 09, 2008 IMPORTANT NOTE: Students are requested to fill the registration form and clear their dues as per dates mentioned above. This will help the Administration to finalize the courses for FALL 2008 term. Once the registration form is filled and Submitted, a student is considered registered. If at a later date students drop the semester, the student has to write and application to the Registrar (within due date), otherwise “F” Grade will be awarded on the transcript against the courses of which the student was enrolled.

All assignments / projects presentations should be completed before Final Examination 2. There will be no make-up mid- term exam. Absentees in Mid- term exam will get ZERO mark. 3. 80% Attendance is must to sit in the Final Examination. No relaxation will be given under any circumstances. 4. All leaver applications / applications regarding attendance shall be submitted by August 16, 2008. No application after this date will be entertained and once the clearance slips are printed these will not be amended.
