Dr. Muhammad Uzair
Professor
Finance & Banking

Dr Uzair did his MA (Economics) from Allahabad university, in 1951. In the same year he migrated to Dhakathen in East Pakistan. He joined the University of Dhaka as a lecturerre of Economics in 1951. He moved to Karachi University in 1955, was associated with Institute of Business Administration. He did his MBA and PhD from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (USA). He left teaching in 1968, after being Director of IBA for some time. He worked in various government sand semi government agencies. He was Member of Monopoly Control Authority, Government of Pakistan, in Islamabad, for over four years. He came back to Karachi, and held senior positions in three different financial institutions. He worked as a Project Director of Department of Business Administration, Karachi University. He has written several books including a book on Interest-Free Banking. A collection of his earlier articles “Some Thoughts of Economy, Finance and Management” was published in 1974. He has been writing articles on economic topics. He is known for being analytical and candid in his criticism. Dr Uzair is a life member of Pakistan Institute of International Affairs.

Dr. Munir Ali Shah Rizvi
Professor
Finance & Banking Marketing

Apart from his administrative and academic duties, Dr. Rizvi is the Editor of research journals, ‘Journal of Business Strategies’ and ‘New Horizons’. He has versatile exposure as educationist (Professor of Economics GOS & Director & Educator IBA), banker (Joint Director SBP, consultant on Agric-Financing and Vice President & Country Head of Agric Financing PICIC Commercial Bank Ltd), researcher (author of more than 50 research papers mostly published in journals of international repute from FAO United Nations) and law practitioner (advocate). Dr. Rizvi obtained Ph.D. in Marketing from Queens University, Belfast, U.K. He is also M.A. (Economics), LL.B. and M.Ed. Dr. Rizvi has been awarded ‘Pride of Performance Medal-Academic’, the ‘Best Teacher Trophy’ & ‘Aeizaz-e-Hikmat’. Prof. Dr. Rizvi is the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences and Information Studies.
                                              

Dr.Muhammad Ishaque Madni
Professor
Research Coordinator

Dr. Madani did his PhD in 2006 from the university of Karachi. He did double Masters in Political Science and Islamic History in 1990 and 1987 respectively, from the university of Karachi.He worked as In-charge, M Phil and PhD courses at Federal Urdu University, Karachi. And Chairman, Syllabus Committee of the same.


Dr.Asandas Manwani

Associate Professor

Dr. Manwani got his PhD from Germany in 1980 and has taught at Sindh University, Jamshoro , Shah Latif University, Khairpur, and Isra University Hyderabad for 39 years. He is a Researcher, Guide, Trainer and course designer. Being a research oriented person, he has produced twelve M Phil Candidates as well as twelve PhD scholars.
                                                                    
 
Dr.Fatima Zohra
Associate Professor

Dr. Fatima Zehra got her PhD in Psychology from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey, in 2001 and secured First Class first position in MA Psychology from the University of Sindh in 1990. She has been teaching at post graduate level at various top ranking universities of Sindh since 1990. Her areas of interest include research methodologies in Behavioral Sciences, child Development, Cross Cultural Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Behavior.

Dr-Syed Faisal Jeelani
Associate Professor
 

Dr. Faisal did his PhD in Integrated Medicine from Sri Lanka and MBA from International University, Missouri, USA in 1989. He has worked as visiting Faculty for a number of institutes and universities at Karachi. His areas of interest include marketing and management and information studies.

Mr Ali Hasan Naqvi
Political Science

Mr Naqvi has done his Master’s in Political Science from Karachi University and MBA from Greenwich University. He is working with DAWN newspaper as Operational Head of its Marketing Department. This association is as old as 18 years, serving the media organization in various capacities that belong to Sales, Marketing, and Management fields. He has extensive experience of sales in the local as well as overseas markets. He is also a certified trainer. He teaches management and media courses at Greenwich.


Mr Abdullah Dewan
 
Marketing

Mr Dewan did his MBA from Greenwich University. He joined his family business, the Dewan Mushtaq Group, in 1997. His family business is far-reaching, with an annual turnover of around $700 million. It incorporates automobiles, fibre, textiles, cement, sugar, automotive engineering and spinning mills.  Mr. Dewan is able to incorporate this diverse experience into his teaching of Advertising and Consumer Behaviour at Greenwich University.

Mr Asif Noorani
English Literature

Holding a Master’s in English Literature (1965), Mr Noorani has rich experience in academics, marketing and journalism. He has been the editor of Eastern Film, one of the most widely circulated English language magazines. In 1970, he joined the marketing department of a multinational. He was the sales manager of the OTC Department, when he left the company to join the Dawn Group of Newspapers in 1985, initially as General Manager (Circulation) and later as the editor of Star Weekend. Mr Noorani teaches media marketing at Greenwich University. He has authored and compiled three best selling books.

Mr Amir Shamsi
Marketing

Mr Shamsi did his MBA in Marketing from Greenwich. He works with Continental Biscuits (Kraft Food) as General Manager Marketing. Earlier he worked in ICI Pakistan Ltd. as National Sales Manager (Decorating Paints). He is a visiting faculty member teaching Brand Management, Marketing Management and Advertising courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Mr Syed  Amjad Hussain

He did his Masters in International Business Management from University of St. Thomas, Minnesota, also he did Masters in Statistics from University of Karachi, Pakistan. He has 24 years of working experience in the field of business, finance, economics and management. He teaches Advance Financial Management, Business Policy, International Financial Management, Project Appraisal, and Marketing Policy course at Greenwich University.

Mr Syed Azfar Ali Rizvi

He did his Masters in Public Administration from University of Karachi. He has over 7 year of working experience in the Media Industry from a variety of perspectives and roles, including those of content and Technical Producer, Field Producer, Reporter, Events Manager, Anchor Person.
He is an expert in Media Management with a proven record of conceptualizing programs from initiation to final delivery. He teaches Culture Media and Society and Documentary Vision, Production Technique and Script Writing courses at Greenwich University.

Mr Gul Baz Khan
Marketing

Mr Khan is an MBA and teaches Brand Management and Export Marketing at Greenwich. He is currently working as an Senior Manager, Service Quality Department, Habib Bank Ltd. He was previously associated with Maersk Line as Assistant Exports Manager for Pakistan.

Mr Kamram Ahmed
Marketing

Mr. Ahmed after MBA in Marketing and Management did MA in Arabic and Islamic Education. He has five years’ experience of teaching Islamic Education and courses of Management Sciences. He works as a Trainer at Da Vinci Trainers and Consultants Karachi. He is working as visiting lecturer at Greenwich University.

Mr Kashif Ali Hashmi

Mr Hashmi is currently engaged at the Pakistan Office of Essentials 99 (UK) where he is heading global marketing strategy and operations as Chief Marketing Officer and has successfully spearheaded the launch of cricket sporting gear brand Boom Boom cricket— the official gear of Pakistan’s National Cricket Team. He has also worked as Chief of Planning & Chief, Commercial and Marketing at Civil Aviation Authority, Pakistan. He brings progressive marketing and management experience of over 20 years with him. He holds a BBA and an MBA from University of Central Oklahoma (USA). In addition to this, he also holds the honor of being the only citizen from Pakistan who won the prestigious “CIO One’s Two Watch Award” in 1995.

Mr Kamal Ayub Quraishi
Marketing

Mr Quraishi is a Greenwich alumnus and also holds a B.Pharm and an M.Phil from the University of Karachi. He currently works as Business Development Manager at Maple Pharmaceuticals and has been associated with a number of prestigious multinational and national companies during his long career. He teaches Principles of Marketing, Sales Management and Export Marketing to BBA and MBA classes at Greenwich. He has attended various technical and administrative courses in Germany, Switzerland, the USA and Singapore.

Mr Asif Qureshi  
Marketing and Economics

Asif Iftikhar Quraishi, an MBA, joined Greenwich University as an Assistant Professor, Faculty of Management Sciences and Information Studies. As a permanent faculty member, he teaches Marketing, Management and Economics at undergraduate as well as graduate level. Mr Quraishi carries more than six years of teaching and managerial experience in leading universities of Karachi. In addition to his administrative and teaching responsibilities, he also facilitates and coordinates research projects of Greenwich Research and Development Centre (GRDC).

Mr Muhammad Ali Saeed
Finance

Ali is currently pursuing his M.Phil. in Economics. He holds an M.Sc. in Finance & Economics from the prestigious Graduate School of Business at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland and a Bachelors in Business & IT from the Curtin Business School at the University of Curtin, Australia. Ali Saeed’s professional experience spans over 10 years in the fields of portfolio management and institutional and retails sales catering to domestic and foreign equity market participants. He is currently the CEO of SAAO Capital, a leading investment banking and brokerage firm in Karachi. At Greenwich University he teaches courses of Finance and Economics at undergraduate and graduate level.

Ms Nausheen Hammad

She is an MBA, currently working as an Independent Food and Beverage Consultant and Research Analyst. She has worked extensively with various FMCGs and beverage brands (including Maaza, Sunkis, Milkflow). She previously worked as GM Marketing, MAaza Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.

Mr Babar Malik  
Finance

Mr. Babar Ali Malik did Master of Business Administration in Financial Management  from Southeastern University. Karachi. Mr. Babar Ali Malik has been Head, Marketing and Business Development at Oman Orix Leasing Company SAOG, Based in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. He was also Senior Group Manager, Credit and Marketing of the same organization. His areas of interest include Business Administration, Business management, Marketing, Financial Analysis and Time and Stress Management.

Ms Faryal Salman  
Marketing

Ms Salman has done her MS in Management Sciences and MBA in Marketing. She has done two independent studies: one on Micro Finance and the other on Women Entrepreneurship. Her areas of interest are Research and Economics. She is teaching courses in Economics and Business Ethics at Greenwich.      

Mr Gulzar Hussain Shah  
Labor Law

Mr Gulzar Hussain Shah studied Bar-at-Law from London University, U K and has extensive experience in Pakistan and U K. He did Post Graduation in Labour Laws. He has been Managing Consultant/ Director HR at Ferguson and Co. where he was involved in Executive search and selection and  Economic Surveys. He has also been Senior Vice President and Director, Human Resource  at several well known organizations. His areas of interest are Management, Public Relations and Socio Economic Planning.

Mr Fazal-Ul-Haque Qazi  
Banking and Finance

Mr. Fazal Haque Kazi did his MA in Political Science and LLB from Sindh University. He has been heading the Law Firm Kazi Law Associates and, Advocate, High Court of Sindh. He attended Summer school in Banking and Finance in London City and studied IRI International Banking Course in Rome and Milan. He has five years experience as Chief Representative of National Bank of Pakistan in Beijing (CHINA). He was elected Director, Foreign Banker Association representing Asia 1986 to 1990. Mr. Kazi has, to his credit, twenty-five years of work experience of commercial Banking, Human Resource Development through training, Branch Banking, Customer Services and Business Development. He addressed conference of Pak-American Congress at Chicago on “Incentive for Investment in Pakistan” on 9 March 1991 and was invited to attend Briefing for Pakistani Americans at White House, Washington, D C on7 June 1991. He has been member of New York Chamber of Commerce and Institute of International Bankers, New York. Mr. Kazi is also a prolific Writer and has written articles on social, artistic and political aspects. Not only this but he has also been regular contributor of articles in several national newspapers.

Ms Hina Mughal  
Management

Ms Hina Mughal is a graduate of Institute of Business Management. She has 10 years of working experience at managerial level in Unilever, Oglivy and Mathur and other national and multinational firms. She teaches Marketing and Management courses at Greenwich University.

Ms Hina Nouman  
Marketing

Ms. Hina Nauman did her Master of Business Administration in Marketing  from Southeastern University in 1998 and received Dean’s Honour Certificate for distinguished performance. She also has Diploma in French from Alliance Francais. She has worked for Imaging System and Supplies (Pvt) Ltd as distributor for KODAK graphic art films and as a trainee for Human Resources Department. Her areas of interest are Business Administration, Marketing and Finance.

Ms Huda Saval  
Marketing

Ms. Huda Savul has done MBA from IBA, Karachi. She worked as a team member  for Diner’s Club ad campaign and interned at Artal Group in the Management side. She has also done a Diploma course in Computer Science. Her areas of interest are Management, Marketing, Business Communication and Product Management,

Mr Jaweed Lodhi  
Human Resource Management

Mr Lodhi is a Management Consultant & Trainer. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, UK, and an affiliate member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply, UK. He teaches Sales Management, Human Resource Management & Entrepreneurship at undergraduate and graduate levels at Greenwich University.

Mr Jaweed Muslim  
Finance & Accounting

Mr Javed Muslim has been associated with Greenwich University since 2005 as an Assistant Professor in the Management Science Department, teaching Cost & Management Accounting and Financial Accounting. Mr Muslim is a former President of KCCI (Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry), former member of Managing Committee of FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry) & Former Chairman of Pakistan Small Industries Association (PSIA). He is a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) trained at KPMG, New York, USA & has done his BS in Public Accounting also from New York, USA with ‘Magna Cum Laude’ Honors. Presently, Mr Muslim is employed with the Lakson Group of Companies working as an Executive Vice President in one of their group companies.

Mr Khalid M. Zafar  
Public Administration and Management

Mr Zafar has a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He teaches Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Business Ethics and Human Resource Management at Greenwich University.

Mr. Karim has done his Master's in Accounting and Finance from Leeds University, UK. He has eight years' experience of teaching Accounting and Finance. Currently, Mr. Karim is working as CEO in an Investment Consultant Company, Landmarks.

Ms Nazish Mavalwala  
Finance and Banking

Ms. Nazish Malvala did Master’s in Business Administration from Greenwich University, Karachi. She was declared 1995 Poet of the Year by the International Society of Poets, Maryland, USA for Poem in a competition held internationally. Also awarded Poet of Merit award and Editor’s Choice award for the same poem. Ms. Malvala was  working as Relationship Executive with The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd. She also  worked as account Executive for Jahangir Siddiqui & Co Ltd. She was Project Team Manager  at SCB, Karachi, She takes interest in Banking, Finance and Business Administration.

Mr Nawaz Ahmed
Financial Economics

Mr Ahmed holds MS in Financial Economics. He has been associated with Greenwich University for the last five years teaching Economics and Research. He is an active researcher, supervising and examining thesis in the fields of economics and finance. Moreover, he has multiple research publications. His strength in the field of research is econometric modeling with specialized packages like SPSS, E Views, etc

Ms Naseem Mughal
Assistant Professor

Ms Mughal has done Diploma in Child Education from London Montessori Center. London, UK and Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Karachi. She teaches Psychology, Organizational Theory & Design, Business Ethics and various courses at Undergraduate and Graduate levels. An accomplished Councellor and therapist in psychological and career councelling in school, university and professional institutions. Worked as consultant Psychologist on projects funded by UNICEF and WHO. Has also conducted training programs for educational and organizational bodies.

Mr Nouman Nasir Ali

Mr Ali did his Master of Business Administration in 1998 from Greenwich University, Southeastern Campus. He has 12 years of working experience with national and multinational firms at managerial level. He is teaching Marketing, Management , Supply Chain Management and Consumer Behavior at Greenwich University.

Mr Owais Pervaiz  
Finance and Investment

Mr Pervez has done MBA and M.Sc in Chemistry. He is visiting faculty in Finance courses at Greenwich. He is a qualified Lead Assessor of ISO Quality Management Systems from B.S.I.

Mr Rahat Munirr
Assistant Professor

Mr Rahat Munir has been associated with Greenwich University right from its inception. He is a thorough professional, who does not restrict his teaching to prescribed courses. He is a source inspiration to his pupils, and also has knack of getting the best out of each individual. Several of his former students have distinguished themselves in the field of Banking and Finance. They are unanimous in acknowledging that they owe their professional success largely to Mr Rahat Munir, their guide, friend and philosopher at Greenwich.Indeed Mr Munir is an asset to Greenwich University.

Ms Shameem Zuberi
Assistant Professor

Ms Sharmeen Zuberi has a Bachelor’s in Psychology and English Literature and a Master’s degree in Sociology. Her career has been largely associated with hospital management and teaching. She has held the post in Senior Management Administration at Liaquat National Hospital for around ten years. She has also been Involved in curriculum development. At present. She is a Director and Member of the Governing body at the Karwan-e-Hayat Hospital (a leading hospital for the mentally ill). Ms Zuberi is also a certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner from the University of Dental and Medical College. New jersey. USA. Presently. She is also involved in teaching Psychology and Organizational Behavior to graduate and postgraduate students at Greenwich University.



Mr Shakeel Ahmed Ansari  
Finance     

Mr.Shakil Ahmad Ansri did Master of Business Administration from The University of Punjab. He also did Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Economics  from University of Surrey, United Kingdom, Bachelor of Law (LLB) from University of Karachi and Diploma in Banking from Institute of Bankers in Pakistan. He is member of Institute of Internal Auditors, USA. Also he worked as visiting Faculty in Institute of Business Management, Korangi.His areas of interest are Banking, Finance and Business Administration.     

Mr Shahid Mehboob
Administrative Sciences


Mr Mehboob holds a Master’s degree in Administrative Sciences. In addition, he is a law graduate and also has professional qualifications in Cost & Management Accountancy, Corporate Secretaries, Chartered Secretaries, Banking Diploma, Taxation & Management. He has been in the field of Finance for over 33 years as a member of Development Financial Institutions as well as a teacher.

Mr Salman Mustafa Baig 
 Finance

Salman Mustafa has been in banking sector for twelve years now. During this period he has worked in various capacities and departments including corporate credit, risk management, and international trade & banking operations. Currently he is working for a leading bank’s Treasury Division as Foreign Exchange Dealer. He is also an experienced training practitioner for various well known Banking & Financial Trainers. Salman has done his MBA (Finance), Master of Economics & Finance & holds JAIBP from the Institute of Bankers Pakistan. He teaches Risk Management, Investment Portfolio Management, Analysis of Financial Statement and Money and Banking at Greenwich University.

Mr Sarim Alvi
Marketing

Mr Alvi carries a vast experience of 20 years in various organizations, handling extensive Marketing and Sales portfolios of a range of products. He has served at Gillette, Unilever, Motorola etc., in key positions. He teaches Retail and Wholesale Marketing at Greenwich University.

Mr Shahid Jamal  
Taxation and Labor Laws

Mr Jamal is M.A (Hons) in Political Science from Dacca University. He entered the Civil Service in 1969 and, after initial training, joined the Income Tax Department in 1970. He retired from government service in 2005, as Director General, Larger Taxpayer's Unit, Karachi. After retirement, he began to teach full-time. He is visiting faculty at IBA teaching Tax Laws, and at Greenwich, he is teaching Business Law and Pakistan Economy. He is also associated with several companies as tax consultant.
                    

Mr Shamyl Mooraj  
Marketing

Mr Mooraj, having worked extensively in B2B as well as consumer market, brings with him a wide variety of business experience. Early in his career he was a Brand Manager. His longest and most rewarding career experience was with 3M Pakistan (Pvt) Limited, where he served for 13 years and was Country Business Leader from 2005 to 2007. He moved to Dubai as Business Director CBL at 3M Gulf Limited, handling a versatile consumer portfolio which included brands like Postit, Scotchbrite, Command and Nexcare.

Ms Sharmeen Imtiaz Lari   
Management

Ms Lari, after completing her BBA from the Karachi campus of Southeastern University, went to St. Cloud State University, Minnesota, USA, from where she did her MBA. She also holds an LLB degree from Sindh Muslim Law College. She brings with her more than nine years of rich and diverse experience, having worked with organizations including Dupont, Roche and Caltex in Marketing, Purchase, Manufacturing Operations and Finance.
She teaches Organizational Behaviour, Principles of Management and Business Ethics at Greenwich.

Ms Shehla Haider Waheed  
Marketing

Ms Waheed, a gold medalist, is an MBA. She teaches Economics and Marketing courses in Faculty of Management Sciences & Information Studies as a visiting lecturer.

Mr Shoaib Alam Shamsi  
Marketing

Mr Shamsi is an alumnus of Greenwich University. He also holds an MBA in Marketing from Western International University, UK. He teaches a variety of Marketing and Human Resource Management courses at Greenwich. He is Director Finance and Administration of Shamsi Builders supervising the entire finance department of the company.

Ms Sobia Nawaz  
Finance

Ms. Sobia Nawaz did MBA from Greenwich University, Karachi. She worked for American Growth Fund (AGF) as Relationship Officer, Client Administration and, at bank Alfalah as Financial Analyst, Corporate and Structured Finance unit. She is skilled in Computing. She has keen interest in Business Management, Business Communication, Communication Skills and IT.

Ms Subeika Rizvi  
Investment

Ms.  Subeika Rizvi has done Master of Business Administration from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. She has worked as Financial Analyst in Shell Pakistan Ltd., and as visiting Faculty for MBA classes in courses  such as Financial Management and Introduction to Business Finance. She has also worked as Operations Manager in Unilever Pakistan Limited and for Pakistan State Oil as Marketing Manager. She also wrote Reports and made Projects in the related fields while working in the above organizations. Her areas of interest are Finance, Management and Marketing.

Mr S.A Waheed
Assistant Professor

Mr Waheed did his Masters in Economics in 1951, he turned to teaching only after his retirement in 1994. Economics, which in past half a century has developed into a power-house of social-science, has advanced and progressed beyond what one would have imagined in the middle of the last century-as is the case with most of the other sciences – expressed by the term “knowledge explosion”. His academic association with Greenwich University is now more than a decade old.



Mr Syed Tahir Hassain
Assistant Professor

He has been associated with Greenwich University for the last fifteen years. Has worked with several multinationals, and headed their marketing departments. Has over 20 year practical marketing experience. He is a recipient of marketing excellence award 2001 from Marketing Association of Pakistan fr his outstanding achievement sin the field of marketing. He teaches advertising and advance marketing courses at Greenwich University. Through his inspiring personality, and unique approach to teaching, he has been able to produce a number of students who have made it to top in media houses, and advertising agencies. He has the gift of bringing out the best in pupils.

Mr Zafar Iqbal Saifi  
Finance and Banking

Mr Saifi is an MBA and has served on the boards of several public limited companies. He has extensive experience in Investment Portfolio Management, as well as Mutual Funds and Projects Financing. He teaches Investment, Finance and Banking and is supervising dissertation and theses of BBA and MBA students. He has taught at IBA, ICMA, the Institute of Bankers Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, and the Institute of Banking and Financial Management.

Dr. Sher Sultan - Professor
Remoting & Distributed Solutions

Dr. Sultan – a scientist, philosopher and strategist – completed his Master’s from  London  and Ph.D. in Remoting and Distributed Applications (Grid Computing & Cloud Computing) from  Massachusetts. He has participated in various researches conducted on advanced computing and artificial intelligence by NASA, Microsoft, Intel, CISCO & IIS. During his association with SGS, he visited more than 97 countries to fulfil his responsibilities as well as conducted researches on technology, religion, culture and dogmas. At Greenwich he is implementing latest LMS (Learning Management Systems) and Knowledge Base Solutions.

Dr. Syed Arshad Imam
Professor

Dr Syed Arshad Imam holds Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Dokuz Eylul University, Izmir, Turkey. His researches have been published in the reputed international journals. He actively participated as a speaker in a number of conferences, research seminars and workshops. Dr Imam started his teaching career as a Lecturer in Federal College, Islamabad, after completing his masters from Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad. At QAU, he completed his M.Phil and was posted in Karachi in 1991. He went to Turkey for Ph.D. on scholarship through Federal Ministry of Education in 1996. He joined Greenwich University in 2007. He has been teaching quantitative subjects to graduate and undergraduate classes at Greenwich University.

Dr Moosa has done his PhD in Political Sciences; he has 15 years of teaching experience in various Government and Private Universities. Also he has performed as a research supervisor.

Dr.Muhammad Hassan Shaikh
Associate Professor 

Dr. Shaikh did hid PhD in Political Science from the University of Sind in the year 1986 and MS from University of Sacramento, California, USA. In 1976.
Dr. Shaikh has been attached with the profession of teaching for more than two decades in several universities of Pakistan.


Ms Amtul Mateen umair  
Mathematics

Ms Omair did her Master's in Mathematics from the University of Punjab in 1962. She has been associated with education for the last 30 years. Starting with PAF College, Masroor, Karachi in 1979, she joined DHA Degree College for Women in 1989 and remained there for 11 years, served as Head, Department of Mathematics and taught both at graduate and undergraduate levels. Since 2006, she has been with Greenwich University taking Mathematics courses in Faculty of Management Sciences & Information Studies.

Mr Aqeel Ahmed
Computer Science

Mr Ahmed, an MCS, has ten years’ experience of teaching IT to students of different age groups.He is a member of the Edexcel International Teaching Group, as well as a member of the Cambridge International Teaching group.He teaches several computer courses at Greenwich.

Ms Mahira Ansari

Ms Ansari holds an MBA degree in Marketing & Finance. She is Assistant Professor and the Chairperson of Department of Mathematics & Statistics. She is a member of Academic Council at the University. She has taught at IBA Karachi and SZABIST and has a teaching experience of nineteen years. Besides teaching, she has been the Marketing Manager of a private organization. She was also the Director of her companies in Canada that were involved in import and distribution of textile products in Canada.Ms Ansari is the Admin Incharge of Al-Mehrab Tibbi Imdad (Hospice). It provides medical care and assistance to Cancer patients.

Mr Naveed Mansoor Nagori

Mr. Naveed Mansoor Nagori  did MBA in Finance from Greenwich University, Karachi, and B.Sc. Honors in Computing from University of Portsmouth, UK. He has, to his credit, top performance award by President of Pakistan for extempore speech and problem resolution at (live) National Youth Convention, Islamabad, and the same from Governor Sindh at Provincial Youth Convention, Karachi. He is a Gold Medal list of All Pakistan BITECC Competition. Has been full time instructor of Systems Development, Software Engineering and MIS courses at Beacon house Informatics. He worked with international business consultants and as executive staff at various IT firms. He also conducted research surveys and facilitated foreign trade delegations and investors.

Mr Lakhani is Head, Computer Science and Information Studies at Greenwich. He achieved distinctions throughout his academic career. He has done his Master’s in Information Technology from the University of London, and his MBA in Marketing from the Western International University.He teaches E-Commerce, Computer Orientation and Packages, Computer Concepts and various other Computer Science courses at Greenwich.

Mr. Tariq Hamid Nooruddin has done MS  in Mathematics  from Louisiana Technical University, and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics  from Iowa State University , USA. He has been Lecturer, Computing Maths, at Cutin University of Technology,  and at Cutin International College, Australia He has also been Lecturer, Maths and Stats at Textile Institute and, Beacon house School System, Karachi. Dr Syed Wasim uddin has done B.A (Hons) & M.A in International Relations and Ph.D from University of Karachi. He is the author of twelve books on different subjects including international relations. His fifteen research articles have been published in reputed research journals approved by HEC.

Mr Abid Ali Syed is a professional media person with 39 years of hands-on experience in journalism and public relations. He has a Master’s in Journalism from the University of Karachi. Starting 1970, he has worked with several major English language newspapers in senior position. His longest association was with DAWN, Pakistan’s premier daily.In the field of public relations, Mr Syed served as Media Consultant for Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) and headed the corporate communication set-up at Pakistan State Oil (PSO).He is a Thomas Jefferson Fellow of the East-West Center, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Ms Ayla Hassan

Ms Ayla Hassan has done Masters in Mass Communication. She is Assistant Professor at Greenwich University. She has also experience of working with news and entertainment channels as a producer and anchor. She made documentaries on social issues for Indus Television network. Prior to that, Ayla worked as an Assistant Programmer at Business Plus. Besides working with channels, she has also experience of working with ‘Creative Factor’ an advertising agency as Creative Manager. Ms Ayla has also worked at Hum TV as Program Manager.

Mr Iqbal Jamil

Mr Iqbal Jamil has over 26 years of experience in broadcast journalism. After doing Master’s in Social Work from University of Karachi, he served PTV for twenty four years as Reporter, Producer and Senior News Editor. He also worked as Bureau Chief for Dunya TV for one and a half years. Mr Iqbal attended various workshops and courses organized by CNN, BBC, Reuters, APTN and PTV, for both print and electronic media.
Documentaries, current affairs and talk shows are the areas in which he excels.

Mr Jamil Syed

Jamil Syed has come full circle. Starting off as a broadcaster in his student days – assisting the production, scripting and programming on radio as well as television, he took advertising to earn his bread, and he buttered it well. He spent his twenty five years of long career in IAL, Asiatic (new JWT), Manhattan International, Prestige and Interflow. He has been Executive Director of Pakistan Broadcasters Association. Syed contributed substantially in establishing people-meter based TV audience measurement service in Pakistan while he was at PAS. He also worked for ACNielsen Pakistan (Now The Nielsen Company) in the capacity of Director Media Research. At Greenwich, as a visiting faculty, he has been teaching Advertising, PR, Media Management & Marketing for more than two years.

Ms Mahwash Amir

Lecturer, Faculty of Management Sciences and Information Studies. Ms. Mahwash Amer did MSc Economics from Peshawar University and Bachelor’s  (Hons) in Management Sciences. She topped and secured gold medal. She worked as Chief Proctor in PAF Degree College, Peshawar. Besides this, she has, to her credit, various projects and surveys  of renowned  national and multinational organizations  such as KFC, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Bank Al falah. She takes interest in areas like Business Law, Business Communication, Economics and Marketing.

Naveed holds a Master’s in Mass Communication from University of Karachi. He worked at Pakistan Television as Producer. He also served as a lecturer in University of Karachi and University for Women. Since 2007, he has been working as Sports Correspondent, Dunya TV. He has working experience of documentary making, News Bureau, Packages, Production etc.

Mr. Rahmatullah Khan did Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Sindh in 1985 and was placed in First Class. He has done Wang VS Operation, a course about the Wang computers from Aman Centre for Excellence, Islamabad. He also did a course in Presentation Skills from Wang Asia Area Training Centre, Hongkong. He was official photographer for IDEAS 2000 Pakistan’s first International Arms Exhibition in September 2000. His areas of interest are Business Communication, Mass communication and Photography.

Dr. Munir Wasti

Dr SM Wasti has served in the Department of English, University of Karachi beginning his career there and retiring as Professor and Chairman in 2010. He obtained the research degrees of M.Phil. and Ph.D. during his tenure. In addition, Dr. Wasti has over 70 publications on various topics (essays, reviews, comments). He has also authored one book (published by the University of Gujrat, Pakistan) and another is in the process. At present, he is serving as Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Greenwich University.

Mr. Yaqoob Khan

Dr. Md. Yaqoob got his PhD in Education from The University of Karachi. He also did his MA in Islamic History and International Relations from University of Punjab and Karachi respectively.
Besides that he also did a four year course in Chinese language from Beijing, China. He worked as Research Fellow and Teacher , King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah from 1977 to 1991.

Ms Farhat Saleem has a long teaching experience in local and international institutions of higher education. She worked as professor of English and English Language Guide in universities and teachers’ training institutes in Libya and Tunisia. Before joining Greenwich University, she was working at a private University in Karachi as Head of Department of English and In-charge, Literary Club and the students’ annual magazine. She has also taught Cambridge University curriculum of English Literature and Language for more than a decade. She is well versed in several international languages including French and Arabic.

She has done Master’s in Sociology with thesis on immunization in slum areas. She has conducted several researches, one of which is on Juvenile Delinquents and Women in Prison. Presently she is teaching undergraduate courses at Greenwich. Along with teaching she counsels the teens on their issues and has organized many social events for them.

Ms Lubna is pursuing her Ph.D. from University of Karachi and has been involved in teaching and writing for more than ten years now. She did ICELT from University of Cambridge and PGCC from University of Strathclyde. She has also been teaching at University of Karachi as Cooperative English Specialist. She regularly contributes to Influence Lifestyles and Fashion Avenue Quarterly. She is working as Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities at Greenwich University. She has a number of research publications to her credit. She is also an editor of Greenwich research journals viz. New Horizons and Business Strategies. She has also been involved in participating, organizing and conducting workshops and conferences at national and international levels.

Ms Anwarali has an MA in English from the University of Karachi, and extensive experience in teaching English at Pakistan American Cultural Center.

Ms Parveen Arshad

Ms Arshad has a Master’s degree in English from the University of Karachi and has been associated with English Language teaching at the Pakistan American Cultural Center (PACC) for a number of years, where she has been officer-in-charge of the program. Currently, she is an academic consultant there. She has also worked at PIA for 15 years as a language instructor. She has also conducted a number of workshops for SPELT and PACC. She is Head of the English Department at Greenwich.   

Ms Salma Mahmud

Ms. Salma Mahmud did Master’s in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, UK. She worked as Academic Coordinator, IITM, Knowledge Village, Dubai. At American College of Dubai, U A E, where she taught Composition, American Literature, Creative Writing and Shakespeare. The college was affiliated with Florida Atlantic University as well as Ohio University. She also worked as Assistant Professor, Lahore College for Women where she taught English and American Literature.

Mr Salman Altaf

Mr Altaf holds a Master’s degree in English (Linguistics) from University of Karachi. He has also taken a certificate course in French Language from the Alliance de Francaise. He has taught English and French at tertiary level in various universities in Karachi. Besides teaching English language and literature at undergraduate as well as graduate levels, he has been working as editor of research journals and in-house publications at Greenwich University. He also specializes in syllabus designing, corporate communications and student counselling.


Ms Shagufta Yasmeen

Ms Yasmeen has done Master’s in English Literature from Karachi University. She has been involved in teaching and writing since mid-70s. In order to equip herself with the latest methodologies of teaching she did her ICELT course from Cambridge University. Shagufta Yasmeen's book on Ruttie Jinnah is the first biographical novel on the wife of the Father of the Nation. Shagufta is a regular contributor to Dawn newspaper and Heritage (Quarterly)

Ms Tahira Khan

Ms Khan has more than thirty years’ experience in teaching. She studied at St Joseph’s College, where she majored in English with Bachelor’s in Psychology and Philosophy from Karachi University. She taught English Language at the Pakistan American Cultural Center for over 25 years where she was teacher, in-charge and finally Director of the English Language Program. After doing MBA in General Management, she joined Greenwich University. She is certified in trauma Psychology from the University of Missouri Pakistan to handle children and adults.
