  SOCIAL WORK  
 


This Program aims to equip the students with theoretical and practical knowledge for both public and private sectors, especially for civil society organizations/groups. It is a professional science which aims to help the individuals, groups, and communities in a society. The curriculum enables the students to understand and evaluate social structure and its problems.

The program is designed for those who are interested in people, how they think, act and organize and adjust themselves in a variety of circumstances. The social worker conceives theories and collects information or evidences in order to support his/her claims while studying this subject. Students learn and apply research methods and computing/statistical techniques to work on professional basis. Students are imparted the knowledge of Community Organization/ Development, Social Research, Social Welfare Administration & Population, and Family Welfare. Field work is an integral part of the scheme of study to give the students practical experience.

This program is tailored to provide the best Social Scientists and trained human resource personnel to the public sector and sustainable civil society organizations/groups.
